The Kamehameha Schools Alumni Association - East Coast Region
Message from the
President Aloha Käkou: Welcome to our website. I'd like to take this opportunity to update you on some of our recent and upcoming activities. Also, I strongly encourage alumni to support by joining us as active members to help make a difference. The KSAA-East vision and mission statements are provided at the end of my message. The complete KSAA-East Master Activity Calendar can be viewed at the calendar page button (on your left) as well as a pictorial review of past events at our Reflections page button. The About us page presents our Officers and Directors, Chapter history and background information. Take the time to look over these pages. Some major event highlights for this year include hosting a combined event that includes a Founder's Day Service with a Hawaiian food pot-luck luncheon followed by our Annual General Membership Meeting and Recognition Ceremony at the Lutheran Church in Rockville, Maryland in November. We will sponsor the Native Hawaiian Higher Education Program Financial Aid Workshop in February, La `Ohana IV Family Cultural Workshop in May, and participate in the King Kamehameha Statue lei draping ceremonyin June. During the summer we will participate in the College Connection/Host Family Programs assisting college students attending colleges in our Region. If you are an alumni living on the "East Coast", we'd like to hear from you. Please send us your current mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address. We periodically send information electronically and by snail-mail but you may contact me directly via our web mail Ka Pelekikena. Finally, one of my goals is to provide accurate and pertinent information via our website. Your input will help us improve this product, so please kokua by sending your comments and corrections to our webmaster.
